Volume: 3
Arguing against both science and religion.
If you are looking for an answer from an undefined, interpretable source, you are subscribing to a belief system that has brought more destruction than happiness to the world. More people have died in the name of religion than any other cause.
Also, if you are looking for an answer in a laboratory, you have joined the millions to have contributed to the destruction of Mother Earth, the only quantifiable source of your well-being.
For every moment of peace found in the comfort of religion, there has been a problem solved by the efforts of science. For every problem solved by the efforts of science, another has popped up in its place. As you burn the coals of research, you also generate the smoke that fills the lungs of the unwilling.
Those who have taken an un-named middle ground by declaring that "they don't know the answer" have a better opportunity at finding peace. At least I find an open mind therein.
I suggest herewith that, instead of arguing for the science that produces more unfilled space than matter, that instead of arguing in favor of one belief system over another, you might spend the time looking inside to where real answers lie. By taking a chunk of your livable day and devoting it not to the media but to yourself, your strides toward peace will become long and rewarding.
Religion cannot explain away the madness. Science cannot teach us to love. You can, however, search within yourselves for the cure to the ills. They are not found in deep, dark space or under a microscope or in a pulpit or pew, nor can you hypnotize yourself into otherworldly beliefs that will be of any use.
While science tries to explain the colors of the sunset and religion claims it as a proven moment of grace, you might take the time to understand that what you're experiencing is a slice of your own particular heaven. The physical world as we perceive it contains all the elements that we would attribute to a heavenly afterlife, while simultaneously spewing forth every element we would attribute to infinite hell.
Figure this: neither side presents any information to me about the time before or after my life. Thus, the moments we experience now are the only ones that count. Whether you were born in the ghetto or in a mansion, the resultant life has always been a product of the individual. If you want a heavenly life, it is yours for the asking. If you find yourself in hellish circumstances, it wouldn't be hard to trace your path back to you.
There are seven deadly sins. There are many more synonyms for god. It is not a golden law, nor a golden theory. It is a golden rule. Try that.
